Cuddly and compatible at the same time: the medical lambskin from “Alpenfell”, the specialists for natural, ecologically produced sheepskin.
The medical lambskins come from England and are produced using the relugan tanning process. Thanks to this method, the fur is suitable for allergy sufferers and is also ideal as a decoration, carpet, bed rug, couch cover - and as a cozy blanket.
Each Alpenfell lambskin is unique. As a purely natural product, the color, pattern and size vary slightly from one pelt to another. Despite its naturalness, the lambskin is completely odorless thanks to gentle degreasing. The natural lanolin content (also known as wool fat) remaining in the sheepskin gives each Alpenfell sheepskin a strong self-cleaning effect and is dirt-repellent.
By the way: The sheepskins made by Alpenfell come from lambs that are kept for meat production. No animal has to die for its fur!
Alpenfell Eco Sheepskin for Allergy Sufferers
Relugantanned, fluffy, washable!
The Alpenfell medical skins are tanned using the Relugan process. This tanning method uses the tanning agent Relugan. This glutardialdehyde tanning agent has a softening and filling effect and stabilizes the wool in a natural way. Due to these special properties, it is used in the medical field and is suitable for allergy sufferers. The tanning method gives the medical lambskin a yellow-beige color.
The sheepskins combine optimal compatibility, durability and ease of care.
Advantage : The fur is machine washable at 30 degrees or by hand and is suitable for allergy sufferers. (Please use a detergent for sheepskins.)
Each Alpenfell lambskin is a unique, almost natural piece - so color and dimensions can vary slightly. Thanks to the high-quality and environmentally friendly processing, the fur has numerous positive properties.
